Paediatric Physiotherapist

Marie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2016 at the University of the West of England in the UK. Marie if a charted physiotherapist and is a member of the Chartered society of physiotherapy, the association of paediatric chartered physiotherapy and the association of charted physiotherapist in cystic fibrosis.

Marie has lived and worked, around Bristol, in the National Health Service (NHS) since qualifying, she spent 2 years doing her junior rotations in the core areas of physiotherapy in adults care – including respiratory, particularly cystic fibrosis, MSK, Neurology, elderly care and trauma and orthopaedics. She then moved to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC), which is a large tertiary hospital for the entire south west of England, housing a large number of specialist services.

Marie completed both her junior and senior rotations at BRHC gaining valuable paediatric skills in acute neurology, neurological rehab, Trauma and orthopaedics including specialist limb reconstruction, acute and long term respiratory condition, complex cardio respiratory conditions, MSK  and rheumatology, including management of chronic pain and complex regional pain syndrome. Marie therefore has experience treating a wide range of paediatric conditions.

Working in such a large tertiary hospital has provided Marie with holistic treatment and assessments skills and valuable communication skills with parents and members of the multi-disciplinary team which is vital for the care of your child. Marie uses a variety of treatment modalities, including hydrotherapy, with play at centre of her interventions to aid compliance and therapeutic benefits.

Marie is passionate about her work in paediatrics she has a fun and enthusiastic approach which encourages strong rapports with both child and family.
