Acupuncturist- TCM R.Ac, Dip.Ay,nd

Christa is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncturist and Natural Therapist who received her training through MacEwan University in Alberta. She has worked in interdisciplinary clinics in Halifax, Toronto, and her home-town of St. John’s, NL. She has been a practising TCM Physician for almost a decade and offers a variety of services. Some of her expertise is in the following: TCM nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, electro-acupuncture, acupressure, fire cupping, Tui Na massage and the use of herbs and liniments.

Acupuncture is an integrative approach to healthcare that can be used to treat many different ailments. Christa cares for people with a range of issues, but she has a special interest in women’s health and fertility. She has experience working with the St. John’s fertility clinic as an advocate for women’s health.

Christa is passionate about TCM. She blends the old with the new by applying time tested Acupuncture technique and philosophy while continuing to learn about new treatment approaches. She regularly attends continuing education seminars and symposiums and she has had the fortune to work with many teachers and mentors. Most recently she completed a fellowship at the Bnai Zion Hospital in Haifa, Israel where she will be continuing to conduct research in the area of IVF and Acupuncture.
